I prefer FLV and MP4.
MP4 then AVI
MP4 is most compatible with youtube and avi has the smallest file size and uploads the quickest.
Youtube mainly uses WebM. And who says AVI has the smallest size?
cause I have a software that tells me and you can see in the videos description
If you're talking about the container overhead, that's a very tiny difference. It's not going to change upload speeds in any significant way. Even in a full length movie, the difference between a bloaty overhead, such as MP4, vs a compressed one, such as MKV, is only a few MB.
okay go google it yourself I don't have time for this I was talking about file size and it can make a hug difference go downlaod a software called format factory
I don't need to google it. I have worked with all these formats for a long time. In my experience, matroska is the most compressed, but it's hard to compare to AVI since AVI lacks matroska's features. Regardless, what I say about container overhead being only a small difference is true. You seem to imply that it would be like 10% difference, or more. The encoding format, quality and bitrate is what makes the real difference in size.
The standard size makes a difference too like say I upload my youtube videos at 340x240 usually with mp4 or avi format with avi format it makes s a huge difference from having a video size of 1g to like 300mb
The video dimensions are independent from the container or encoding codec. You can have a 320x240 AVI, MP4, MKV, Webm.
well then my programs has an aswesome encoding code
