So I just found out the people downstairs are moving out and I know the downstairs has an extra BR. I was wondering, although my lease isn't up, will my landlord let me move downstairs? And if so, how would that work? Like, would I have to do the process of security deposit and stuff like that all over again? Because I know the rent is $300 more.
Does anybody know anything about renting houses?

He'll very likely be amenable to letting you have the now vacant unit, if you sign a new one-year lease. He may even wave the additional $300 security fee, provided you're a good tenant. If you're a bad tenant he may choose to beat you mercilessly!0
