You can't be terminated for running your own business. You make the rules and policies for how your own business will be. No worries about being laid off, or getting fired for whatever reason.
The downside is, well not all businesses are really profitable or consistently profitable and no guarantees that your own business will make you enough income so that you will never have to work for someone else ever again.
It takes a lot of time, effort, and energy to establish a good reputation for your business and a to build a loyal customer base that will continue to spend money on your products and/or services offered and/or advertised or promoted. There's always the risk of failure and you end up closing your business due to bankruptcy or something similar. It's best to form a partnership with people that are reliable, dependable, loyal, and trustworthy to establish a small business into something that have good potential for growth.0
