I have worked in restaurants through HS and college and I was awlays annoyed to see kids under the age of 5 at the restaurant. They would ruin the floor and table. Nkw I'm a parent of a 2 year old and I'm scared to go out with my wife and daughter cause I know it will be the same for the waiter when he sees my daughter.

There's no age limit for children going out with their parents. Yes, children are messy, but that doesn't mean a family can't enjoy a nice night out together.0

I think it depends a bit on the type of restaurant but as a general rule of thumb, I think 5 is a good age where you can start taking them out. I don't have kids yet but I don't think I'd take my 2-year old out to a restaurant. I'd rather have a babysitter and go to the restaurant just with my girlfriend.0
