If my autisitc brother is barred from using weapons as self-defense; then could he use bricks and soup cans as a safe alternitve?

Gaffers, my brother wants to be safe on the streets, however he is poorly coordinated and incapable of learning karate. What else can he legally use to defend himself besides his hands?

  • Pepper spray is very effective against assholes and aggressive dogs. After putting them through about 30 minutes of hell it leaves them unharmed. Combined with a can of soup it will leave attackers in a spicy bouillabaisse.

  • Plenty of non lethal options out there. Tasers, pepper sprays, telescopic batons, gas guns (looks exactly like a real one but fires small tear gas cartridges).

  • Absolutely nothing.

There's a reason weapons were invented, and that's because unarmed combat is ridiculously bad for self-defense. If he can't carry weapons or learn martial arts, then he has nothing, unless he can afford to hire bodyguards.

  • He could use his legs, too. Pepper spray could work, too.
