If you have a good enough understanding of the parameters, most things can be predicted within a certain degree of certainty. It's possible that people who study seismic activity can predict earthquakes but I haven't looked into it enough to know how reliable they are. There are no earthquakes where I live so I don't ever pay attention to them.0
