When did America declare independence?

Before you watch the video please vote :)
The reason Im asking is because well 4th of July was this week, and for some reason a lot of Americans don't know why the fuck they even celebrate it, never mind which country they declared independence from... So Im highly curious about the people's knowledge on gag, maybe it will restore the faith in the American people. 😂 But please don't cheat!

  • English guy here. American's wanted independence because they were being taxed but had not representation in British Parliament. The Americans considered themselves loyal British subjects, but became frustrated when they weren't given representation, so they boycotted British goods, and even chucked British supplies into the sea.

    Then the British blockaded American ports. At that point, the Americans were effectively economically independent. So I believe that's why the British then invaded.

  • Hey, diddle, diddle,
    The cat and the fiddle,
    The cow jumped over the moon;
    The little dog laughed
    To see such sport,
    And the dish ran away with the spoon.

  • Most of the Americans (95%) uneducated. They even don't know so basic things. Education is so important and it must be free.

  • Why does matter? People want a reason to celebrate, the reason itself isn't important
