LOVE LA... not the Lakers, but everything else, haha. I went three times in as many months when my girlfriend was staying with a relative out there. Definitely in strong consideration for places I'd like to live👍 Just so damn expensive though, so I probably can't swing it😕 And i thought Boston traffic was bad... WOW. But I really like the weather (of course), and one of my favorite things about SoCal in general is all the mid-20th century architecture that still stands today, well-preserved with the mild climate. Boston was built much earlier so there wasn't much room for it, and the stuff that was built is so weatherbeaten from the harsh winters, so you only occasionally see dilapidated old buildings that are begging to be restored but sadly will probably just be torn down. But LA had so many diners and gas stations and random businesses and homes in that mid-century postmodern style👍👍👍👍
Plus, I developed an unhealthy addiction to Don Antonio's Mexican food on W Pico, and Sprinkles cupcakes in Beverly Hills. Had a S'more cupcake (crushed graham cracker base, chocolate cupcake, and marshmallow topping, singed like a creme brûlée, halved top and bottom, in a cup, with dark chocolate ice cream in the middle... excuse me while I kiss the sky...) that I still have dreams about, haha. And shout out to my dude Najea from Compton who I met on Venice Beach while he was selling his CDs, and he got me bud every time I went out there, showed me crazy love and didn't know me from a can of paint, haha.
Honestly, I almost think I'd be cool being homeless down at Venice Beach, haha, I just love that whole scene. Venice Beach boardwalk by day, Olvera Street for dinner, Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards by night... good to go👍 Definitely have love for Los Angeles!
