  • Greek fire is not gunpowder, it was most notably used by the Byzantines against the Muslim invaders. It's the granddaddy to napalm. Ur facts may be a little off but you are right that China has never been much of a martial power.

      Yes,

      - The person who proved that China invented Paper, Printing, Gunpowder, Compass.
Professor Joseph Needham was a biochemist, after he met his Chinese girl friend, he believed China was advanced.
Needham's work has been criticised by some scholars who assert that it has a strong inclination to exaggerate Chinese technological achievements.

  • 1) Dafuq is the "metal age"? I assume you mean the bronze age. In that case, I don't know where the hell you got your facts but you need to check your sources. China wasn't 1,000 years late or anything.

    2) China had carriages, but rich people just thought those chairs were fancier.

3.1) That compass may be shitty, but it was invented way earlier than any ohter compass.

    3.2) Never heard of it.

      Shit, clicked Submit too early.

      3.3) Chinese paper was better.

3.4) The Middle East invented printing 5000 years ago? Where did you get that?

3.5) Greek fire is not the same as gunpowder. Gunpowder is much more useful.

Nobody ever said China invented glass.
People didn't have gun until the Mongols spread Chinese gunpowder into Europe.

      4) What does that have to do with being advanced?

      5) Manchus are Chinese. The Manchu conquest of China is an internal conflict. And again, that has nothing to do with being advanced.

      1) Chinese paper was not very good but it was better than the paper that came before it (like papyrus).

      2) "The concept of movable type was not new in the 15th century; movable type printing had been invented in China during the Song dynasty, and was later used in Korea during the Goryeo Dynasty, where metal movable-type printing technology was developed in 1234." (Printing Press, Wikipedia)
And where did you get that printing was invented 5000 years ago? You mean ink?

      3) That has nothing to do with being advanced. Most of those had the same technology as the Chinese anyways. The Mongols are the exception.
