What temperature do you get your place at in the winter?

Well is is starting to cool down and I was wondering what you keep your place at? Do you keep it cool to save money, or keep at warm and comfortable?

  • It's currently on 80degrees Fahrenheit or 26.6 Celsius

It'll be that way all winter, I don't care about the cost! Was 80degrees last night and I was still in an undershirt, shirt, AND a sweater.

Not tolerating the cold well this year..

26? Why the hell would you have it so high?

We keep it at 16 and if you're cold go put a jumper on. 26 is just ridiculous.

@BaileyisDarcy - Because I get cold under 80 (26c). The house was on 70-72 over the holidays and I had a jacket or sweater on while in the house.

It was lower because we had family over for a little while and they get hot if it's above mid 70s.

  • Lmao -20 degrees Celsius is the coldest ever measured here I believe. This winter will probably not be colder than -5.

  • It's usually around 60-62 when I'm up. I turn it down to around 55 at night. I sleep in the basement so even if I turn it completely off at night the temp only drops about 1-2 degrees. The only reason I keep it 55 at night is because I have a bunch of house plants and they don't like it getting too cold.

  • In Florida we don't have winters. We just have a cool summer. We basically only have two seasons, Summer and lighter summer. Like this month it has been high 80s and then at night it's mid 70s. That just gets a bit cooler for our "winter" 😂

  • Where I live in Cali, it is usually a high in the 57 F range, and the lows in the 30 F range.

I actually like the cold weather, and don't need to run the heater. However my family has some cold blooded people in it, so they set the heater to 68 F.

  • It's normally around 70 until it gets "polar" out in February. Then I raise it up to 72-74 until it warms up again.

  • Southern Ontario isn't as cold as other parts of Canada thanks to the Great Lakes, but we can still hit -30C and then have the windchill push it to -45C

  • I keep it around 60-62. Not to save money, I just like it cool. That's plenty warm enough when its -20 out side anyway.

  • I drop it as low as possible, without the pipes freezing. If I need to, I'll cover up in a blanket or put on a sweatshirt and sweatpants. I live alone. If I have company over, then I'll turn it up appropriately to keep the guests warm.
