Alcohol does not remove stress, it just diverts your attention temporarily. If you become dependent on alcohol, just as with cigarettes and drugs, they create the stress that they then take away. Then it comes back, so you take more alcohol, drugs or cigarettes. It is a self perpetuating cycle.In reality alcohol fixes nothing. If your life was shit before you got drunk then it won't be any less shit when you're sober.
