Introduction

GirlsAskGuys LLC (from here on referred to as GAG”, “We” or “Us”), www.girlsaskguys.com and its other website(s) and/or its mobile application(s) (both here on referred to as “The Services”) adopt the following Privacy Policy for any user (from here on referred to as “You”, “User”,or “Users” in plural) who register with, use or visit (from here on referred to as “register”) either one of The Services.

At the essence of Services’ operation, the data we collect about you,how we use it,how we share it,and how we protect it are crucial in order to ensure the safety of your data. Accordingly, GAG would like to clearly set here -with this Online Privacy Policy document- what happens to your personal data when you register to The Services by any means. Protecting your privacy is important to us. Accordingly, we're providing this Privacy Policy to explain our practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of information that we receive when you use our Services (as defined in our GirlsAskGuys Terms of Use). This Privacy Policy applies only to those websites, Services and applications included within "The Services" and doesn't apply to any third-party websites, Services or applications, even if they are accessible through our Services. Also, please note that, unless we define a term in this Privacy Policy, all capitalized words used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our GirlsAskGuys Terms of Use.

This Privacy Policy also contains in formation about how you can monitor the integrity of personal and private data (from here on referred to as “data”) collected from Users under this Privacy Policy (from here on may be referred to as “Policy”). The Policy also has GAG’s contact information, and how you can request to delete data if you so choose.

Your data may be deleted automatically after the related specific process has been fully completed and finished or -if you have- your registered profile is removed completely from The Services. This does not apply if statutory provisions prevent deletion, further storage is necessary for the purpose of providing evidence or you have expressly consented to longer storage. All information of any type of unregistered users who are not logged in, will be deleted after 2 years.

Privacy Matters to Us

Although we allow you to set your privacy options that limit 3rd party access to your pages, questions and answers, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of other Users with whom you may choose to disclose your pages and information. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that User Content you post on the The Services will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the The Services. You understand and acknowledge that, even after removal, copies of User Content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other Users have copied or stored your User Content.

If we find a violation related to privacy or the security system of The Services, we may try to inform you electronically by sending a notification or by sending you an email.

Cookies and data Collection

GAG collects information through The Services at several points. Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide and improve our Services, to administer your use of The Services (including your account, if you are an account holder as a registered User to The Services), and to enable you to enjoy and easily navigate our Services.

Users who register with one of GAG’s Services, by doing so express their consent to GAG’s data collection from social media accounts, smart phone data, and appropriate online behavioral actions history.

GAG may collect the following information (directly, manually or automatically via cookies and similar technologies): name and contact information (Users'name, surname, phone number, e-mail address, country of residence, date of birth), authentication information (the users password, membership information), demographic data (birth date, age, and sex), device information (data from a User’s electronic device model, browser type and your IP address information), favorites and usage data (open or publicized profile data from social media sites e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Google, Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin etc. may be gathered and processed from the User’s devices), location data.

Information Collected Automatically

Our servers automatically record some certain information about how a person uses our Services (we refer to this information as "Log data"), including both account holders and non-account holders (either, a "User"). Log data may include information such as a User's Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system and also the web page that a User was visiting before accessing our Services, the pages or features of our Services to which a User browsed and the time spent on those pages or features, search terms, the links on our Services that a User clicked on and other statistics. We use this information to administer The Services and we analyze (and may enGAGe third parties to analyze) this information to improve and enhance The Services by expanding their features and functionality and tailoring them to our Users. needs and preferences.

We sure do enGAGe cookies. A cookie is a small text file that a web server places on your device to be a unique identifier. Our cookies do not have an expiration date. Our cookies do not collect personally identifiable information. We also use session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in. These cookies terminate once the User closes The Services or browser. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser/device/software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of The Services to their full extent.

You can set your browser/device/software so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of The Services may be restricted.

When you register to The Services, to benefit from the contents of The Services, we certainly collect some of these above-mentioned significant data such as your name, surname, e-mail, residence country, birth date, age and gender. All other information we request as mentioned in this Privacy Policy is optional.

We also collect usage information as you interact with our Services, including but not limited to asking and/or answering questions, sending or receiving instant messages, writing editorials, articles and comments etc.

By choosing to sign on to The Services through Facebook or another third-party service, you give us permission to access and use your information from that service as permitted by that service, and to store your log-in credentials for that service.

Irreversibly anonymous data will not be deemed as data under this Privacy Policy.

For Which Purposes Is Your data Collected and Processed?

Users may access their own personal information and update, change, and delete any part of it to which they are allowed to make updates to. If users need to change, update or remove information to which they don't have access to, they may contact us about these inaccuracies through our Contact Us page. Users may delete their information from our database by canceling their membership within their account section.

data obtained by GAG is used to improve GAG’s Services, is applied to GAG’s or other third-party advertising/marketing campaigns, provides promotions to Users, fulfills legal obligations, may create User ratings that contribute to The Services’ functionality.

GAG uses information we collect to analyze how The Services is used, diagnose and resolve service or technical problems, maintain system security, personalize content, remember information to help you efficiently access your account, monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns, and track User content and Users as necessary to comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and other applicable US laws. This is accomplished through use of a User’s IP address, if necessary. IP addresses are also used to generally identify Users and to collective demographic information.

Some information collected by GAG will be displayed within your profile so that other Users can interact with you. Users who provide information may occasionally receive e-mail announcements and newsletters, if they opt in. Registered users will, upon request, receive additional announcements from us about products, Services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications. Registered users may also receive e-mails from GAG to communicate new Services, updates offered by us that we think our Users may find valuable. Users may also receive notifications by e-mail when a question that is asked or bookmarked is updated with an answer.

As earlier stated, our default privacy settings limit the information displayed in your profile to other Users of The Services. Users can choose to modify this limit as they deem necessary. Users can even share information, ask questions anonymously without displaying their personal information, including their user names.

Users who wish to deactivate their accounts may do so by going to their account settings. Any deleted information including but not limited to User information, User content or User accounts may be kept in a backup copy due to legal regulations. Users’ direct/private messages are also kept for a reasonable amount of time in some cases but this period does not exceed 3 months and then they are to be deleted forever. Any of such information will not generally be available on The Services.

The username, thumbnail image and location may be displayed in various parts of The Services including but not limited to search results, Users lists and User account pages. Such User information is displayed so that other Users can see who answered or asked a question or so that friends can find friends in our Services. Also note that the extent of the personal information displayed is limited to what Users choose to display.

GAG may use profile information based on age, gender and location to promote news updates or products to display relevant advertisements or announcements.

We allow third party companies to serve ads and/or collect certain anonymous information when you visit The Services. Some advertisements on The Services are sometimes delivered directly to users by third party advertisers. Some companies may use non-personally identifiable information (e.g., click stream information, browser type, time and date, subject of advertisements clicked or scrolled over) during your visits in order to provide advertisements about goods and Services likely to be of greater interest to you.

These companies typically use a cookie or third-party web beacon to collect this information. These advertisers automatically receive your IP address and may also download cookies to your computer/smart phone/device, or use other technologies such as JavaScript and "web beacons" (also known as "1x1 gifs") to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content by collecting information (not personally identifiable information such as your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits. By doing this the advertising network recognizes your computer each time they send you an advertisement in order to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. Third party advertisers have no access to your contact information stored on The Services. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by GAG and does not cover the use of cookies or other tracking technologies by any of its advertisers. Third parties may also use pixels to collect non-personally identifiable information from emails that the User opens. You also provide us information in user content you post to The Services. Your questions, answers, comments etc. and other contributions like editorials or articles on The Services, and metadata about them (such as when you posted them), are publicly viewable on The Services, along with your name (unless The Services permits you to post anonymously). This information may be searched by search engines and be republished elsewhere online in accordance with our GirlsAskGuys Terms of Use.

We may be required to disclose user information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, or in compliance with applicable laws. We do not reveal information until we have a good faith belief that an information request by law enforcement or private litigants meets applicable legal standards. Additionally, we may share account or other information when we believe it is necessary to comply with law, to protect our interests or property, to prevent fraud or other illegal activity perpetrated through our Service or using the GAG’s name, or to prevent imminent bodily harm. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, agents or government agencies.

In Detail: What Information Do We Share with Third Parties?

Personally identifiable information (PII) is information that, when used alone or with other relevant data, can identify an individual.

We will not share any PII that we have collected from you except as described below as follows:

We may share information with our service providers. We may enGAGe third party service providers to work with us to administer and provide The Services, e.g., we use a third-party web hosting provider for hosting and running The Services. These third-party service providers have access to your PII only for the purpose of performing their Services on our behalf and are expressly obligated not to disclose or use your PII for any other purpose.

We may share information also with third parties. We may aggregate and/or anonymize information collected through The Services so that the information does not identify you (non-personally identifiable information). We may use aggregated, anonymized, and other non-personally identifiable information for any purpose, including for research, marketing purposes, industry analysis, demographic profiling and other similar purposes and our use and disclosure of such information is not subject to any restrictions under this Privacy Policy.

From time to time, we may run contests, advertisements, special offers, or other events or activities on The Services together with a third-party partner. If you provide information to such third parties, you give them permission to use it for the purpose of that Event and any other use that you approve. We cannot control third parties' use of your information. If you do not want your information to be collected by or shared with a third party, you can choose not to participate in these Events.

Who Can Access Your data?

GAG will not share third party information about the Users or the Users’ online information that has not been expressly consented to by the User.

GAG, third parties, and third-party vendors that provide promotions can access the data. In addition,

GAG’s operations may require to include outsourcing some of its’ operation to 3rd party providers.

GAG shall not be liable to You for any purpose that is related to satisfying required operations and developing The Services. Explicit consent from the User for any related purposes are also not under GAG’s liabilities. Finally, any purposes specified under uses for a third party are also exempted from GAG’s legal liabilities.

Users may send, in writing, their complaints and referrals by a hard copy, or a soft copy through a registered email address with a secure electronic or mobile signature or through an e-mail address previously registered with The Services.

Users may access their own personal information and update, change and delete any part of it to which they are allowed to make updates to.

If users need to change, update or remove all of or part of their information to which they don't have access to, they may contact us about these inaccuracies through our Contact page.

If you want to cancel your membership as a whole, you can do so by going to your user profile.

The information provided by the user or about transactions carried out via The Services; GAG also may use such information for various statistical evaluations, market research and similar purposes, if necessary, with GAG and its affiliates may share such personal information with each other except within the framework of specified by GirlsAskGuys Terms of Use, on condition that the User's identity will not be divulged.

In certain cases, GAG may disclose some personal information of users to any third party real or legal persons except within the framework specified by this Privacy Policy. Following conditions include but are not limited to; to act in conformance with the applicable legal requirements; to fulfill the requirements of the use of GAG; upon a received request according to the relevant legislation by the competent authority for the purpose of an inquiry conducted with users.

Your personal information contains your e-mail, avatar, date of birth, occupation, country, city, relationship status and these identify you as a User. GAG will not divulge any of your personal information to any other companies that has no any collaboration or to third parties unless it is stated in this Privacy Policy and is required by law to do so.

GAG undertakes to exercise due diligence that necessary precautions have been taken for preventing disclose all or any portion of the confidential information to the public or unauthorized use or disclosure to third parties.

Securely Storing and Deleting Your data

GAG reserves the collected data for the purpose of using it for production purposes and will not use it or transfer it to third parties except for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy.

GAG will always try to make sure that the data exchanges that will be performed by The Services as encrypted through HTTPS.

GAG shall not disclose to the other party the data it obtains from the Users that it collects in violation of the provisions of this Privacy Policy and the relevant legislation and shall take the necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure the appropriate level of security in order to ensure the confidentiality of the data it collects; unauthorized access will not be allowed.

We use reasonable security measures that are designed to protect personal information from accidental loss, disclosure, misuse, and destruction. However, please be aware that no data security measures can be guaranteed to be completely effective and no system is %100 secure. Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you provide to us. You transmit information to us at your own risk.

GAG reserves the right to keep data collected during a statute of limitations period set for thin applicable legislation. This right is limited to extents necessary for GAG to perform its Services, follow collection purposes, maintain legal compliance, and execute administrative and judicial proceedings under dispute.

Privacy of Children Under Age 13

Our Services are not intended for children under the age of 13, in some countries tighter age limits may apply under local law. If you are under 13, please do not use The Services and do not give us your personal data.

We do not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13.

We will try take reasonable steps to erase data if we notice or learn that we have collected the data of a child under 13.
