Do you believe it's better to harbor positive or negative feelings for an ex you're trying to move on from?

Obviously, the best is to simply be able to not think about them whatsoever. But, in those very early days of post break up recovery, do you think it's better to focus on "wow, we had a great relationship but now its time to move on" or "i hate that person, i'm so glad to be rid of them."

on the one hand, being positive means you feel less pain, but on the other it means you may take longer to feel like you should date other people.
