The general rule of thumb is half a guy's age + 7 is acceptable for the age of a younger woman he can date.
So a guy whos 22 shouldn't be dating anyone younger than 18.
a guy who's 50 shouldn't date younger than 32.
Just a guideline obviously as age doesn't always tell the whole story but its a pretty good rule of thumb to avoid getting dirty stares from people

Neither of your options in a way, as I believe after the legal age it isn't that uncommon, however if you're younger lets say 16 dating a 25 year old it didn't sit right, however if you're 18 dating a 25 year old it would be more acceptable based on the legality.
