Interesting. Whilst I don't embrace anything, 'Darwinism' (due to his racist connotations), I think logic and science is well appreciated in religion. It is a common misconception that people who have a faith, often reject science. When in fact it can enhance their faith, especially in the modern world.
Personally I've noticed a lot of discrepancy between the two. That's what inspired the change

Fair enough. Might you consider that there are many who practice their religion w/o any violence. The ratio of those who adhere to a religion and have committed violent acts are surely outnumbered by those who aren't violent yet practice religion. The whole concept of not judging on preconceptions?
I'm just telling you, Christians are a very violent group, one group, evangelicals, believe trump is bringing about the end of the world, with his recognition of Jerusalem as the israeli capital.
Well, can we agree that they are namely American Christians firstly? And I heavily believe that state and religion should remain separate. It is common knowledge that the Trump administration is using religion to advocate their cause whilst heavily contradicting themselves (racist policy, supporting right wing groups which advocate hate etc.). Anyways, its going off topic. Whilst I can understand your dislike, I must say its interesting that an entire sect, be cast as the nutters who support Trump. It goes beyond that. And Israel, is a conflict that might be senseless to an atheist but to most Abrahamic religions, a very sensitive topic.
No, most of the world believes this
Most of the world believes Trump's sh#t stirring? I believe I agreed to that, my point is that its irrelevant to what I was saying. As for the Israel comments, what should matter to you is the fact that illegal occupation is causing conflict. The reason for occupation- Religious conflict. So its politically motivated just as much as its religiously motivated. Either way, its senseless that you use that as a justification to condemn an entire religion/sect i. e. Evangelicals as you have.
no, most of the world believes the end of the world is here now, that he's done this
The end is nigh theories have always popped up. And damn, we are so beyond the original post lol! Its a dire time to live in as a young person, let alone a person of faith...
Yes, but with the rapture type stuff, this is pretty serious, he's opening wounds
In my opinion, his intention is more nefarious than opening wounds. And I think the special relationship b/w Israel and the US ought to be brought into the limelight. Billions of dollars in military support. To what cause? The state of Palestine is legitimate. May I ask you, Why as an atheist, does religious theory bother you? There are more pressing matters such as the illegitimate use of force against an oppressed people. After all, humanism is a tenet of Atheism right?
No, he's def. opening wounds
I concurred. And said it went beyond that...
Ah, yeah, but you get my point. There are a lot of violent people in this world, with a lot of distorted views
To an extent, I also disagreed that all individuals who practice a faith is to be cast into the same net of those with 'distorted views'. Interesting views expressed though.
All individuals who don't accept jesus as their savior according to Christians and evangelicals, will burn in hell. that's their view
Dont get me wrong, I literally do not care what people believe as long as they don't hurt anyone or anything. Its just not at all my thing anymore
I haven't, I assumed you were quite annoyed w/ the post. I agree 100% that no one should be harmed for it. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Interesting that you say 'anymore'.
I'm not annoyed, perhaps blunt.
Wasn't the question. And even better since the age gap!
I dont care if you're christian, Jewish or muslim if you are religious get your shit out of here.
Since you dont care for the main concept and topic. How about you leave? Because your intolerance can be charming someone else's post right now.
