Would you reject someone based on body type?

So, I have expectations a bit tighter spectrum of body types I´d accept, because I really don´t want to have a boyfriend who´s overweight. People say that´s really superficial of me, but it also depends on the lifestyle a person is living how big they are. I´m a really sporty person of average body type, and I´d prefer that on a boy too. I want my SO to have a similar lifestyle about health like I do, so we can both motivate and push ourselves and don´t pull each other down. I got two pictures at the end of the spectrums I´d accept. Don´t get me wrong - I´d date someone bigger/smaller than that if I´m really in love with them and their character fits great to mine, but there is a certain degree of physical aspect that I need to find someone sexy.

I am not picky, but physical attraction is a big part of a relationship. I don’t believe a relationship will work if you are not attracted to your significant other. For me if you are extremely built and it looks like I can pop you with a pen thats unattractive. Or (and this may sound stupid and vain) if you’re man boobs are bigger than mine, that’s also unattractive and I wear a DD so that says a lot in itself. It’s not about being insecure either it’s just if your man boobs are bigger than a DD you could use to lose some weight

Most people would say no, but come on, be real for a sec!! Body type and appearance play a major role in relationships! Of course rejecting someone is somehow based on his/hers body type. Although looks are not the most important thing, they are certainly a plus

Only if i found them really unattractive, body is probably last on my list for requirements, face is way way way more important to me.

Body type is not the problem.

Some people from their ADN are more prone to be skinny or fat, some have more muscles, some lose or gain weight more easily and for some other it is hella hard to get muscles, even with the right diet and exercising.

On the other hand, any extremes of the ones I listed above are more likely to be disliked, and would, therefore, yes, probably be rejected, by a large majority of people. It doesn't mean that the majority is only interested in the appearance tho. Just that there is a line not to cross in terms of what you look physically before they start considering you as 'partner material' and this as cool as a person you might be.

I never judge people by their looks in general and my wife didn't judge me either by my looks. But i do get judged by other people assuming am a douchbag because i do work out a lot of many do workout just to impress people so i do get judged by my physic and oh my beard too. But meh am not that kinda of person that gives a shit to anyone beside my family. But for me i don't reject anyone by their body type.

As a guy on the heftier side, I’d probably want someone who is either a healthier weight or at least trying to be a healthier weight. If someone guy/girl was extremely unhealthy and didn’t want to change because “society is the problem” over their own health, I’d definitely reject them.

It would have to be on extreme ends of the spectrum for me to reject someone. I have appearances that I'm initially more drawn toward like everyone else, but that doesn't mean I don't find people outside of that unattractive.

I met this guy. He is not my ideal body type; a bit shorter than me and on the skinny side. My preference is tall and muskular. However, I instantly fell in love with his personality. So no, I wouldn’t reject them.

Well if your talking in the sense of dating and mating. Then you answered your own question by saying everyone has their own preferences. In the relationship world, we rely on visual appearances. Its sad to say but if someone doesn't fit the visual spectrum we prefer then we see ourselves embarrassed to be around them. Im only basing this off of dating.

My ex was totally not my type based only on physical appearance. I'm 1.61m tall and he was 1.93m. Not something I'm really be into, and he was more broad shoulderer then I'd like, but we still dated, and it was my longest relationship yet. Almost 3 times as long as the one before

Only if they were obese or severely thin. Otherwise, I find girls to be attractive with a variety of different body types. There's no one way for a girl to be attractive.

I dont know to be honest, depends on the guys personality and if i liked him or not. But on a general basis I wouldn't be any particulary interested in anyone who is very skinny or overweight.

I'm a big guy and I'm not too picky, but if someone is one of the extremes, then I would reject them.

While it's possible to be ugly enough that I can't (or won't) be in a relationship with you, it's hard. You have to work at it.

I'd say go with what you prefer.. I tried dating outside of my preferred body type before and it didn't go well I tried to be attracted to him but it just couldn't work
