How do I stop letting my nerves get the better of me when meeting new people?
I'm not particularly socially gifted due to growing up with social anxiety so whenever I end up at events where mingling is required, I drink. Not to the point of getting wasted but just to loosen my nerves a little. Today, I asked this girl I was talking to on Tinder to a party my mates are throwing. She's not the "party" type but agreed to come anyway. The party is next week and already I'm feeling super nervous. It's like my brain keeps putting the pressure on me to impress this girl. What if she doesn't like my crowd? What if I'm disappointing irl? That sort of thing.
Why would/ do people rush into relationships without really getting to know one another? Do you look for a more beautiful women or more sexy? What would make you walk out of a first date in the middle of it? Would you break up with your partner if they gained a significant amount of weight? What do you get with marriage that you don't already get with a long term relationship?
