Guy says he likes me, but doesn’t want to do a long distance relationship, is that good or bad?

Is it a good idea if we still go out on a date even though he said that he likes me, but doesn’t want to do a long distance relationship?

  • Long distance isn't for everyone.. It can be hard, and although some can make success from it, it's not always this way!

  • Neither. It's quite normal since LDRs are hard work.

  • LDRs are rarely successful, so I get why he doesn't want that, it doesn't mean he likes you any less, just trying to save the heartache. Do you really want to start something with dating knowing it's not going to result in anything romantic?

    • He’s in my area for a few days

    • Sure going on a date can be good, in the sense that it shows attraction but he’s prewarning you to not get attached as he’s not going to get attached to someone he’s not be able to have a real relationship with. he just recognizes the difficulties of maintaining an LDR.
