Is this a date?

We’re meeting on Saturday night for dinner together and maybe do something after. Is it a date?

I asked her out last week and sent her a text today to double-check whether she could make it and she said yes, and she sounded really excited.

  • This would only be considered a date if you two want it to be that way. Usually it's a date if you're choosing the location on your own with the intention of paying for everything instead of splitting the funds. It's also a date if you two are spending time together to better understand one another if you two plan on pursuing a relationship later on! Otherwise, consider this just a casual hangout for fun! If you want it to be a date or simply a fun casual event, declare which one it is to her the next time she asks about it so there aren't any misunderstandings.

  • No need to put a label on it. Just have fun and show interest. When it comes time to pay the bill just pay it and if she says anything just say you're more than happy to cover her since you asked her to come. Good luck!
