Was I in the wrong, or did she overreact?

So I was texting this girl, and here's how the convo went:

(We were talking about her working as a waitress at a pizza place and I mentioned how I couldn't do it because of you get blamed for when the kitchen messed up)

Her: I never make mistakes ;)
Me: Oh I know ;) You're perfect
Her: ?
Me: You're waitressing
Her: K
Me: I meant like you're a perfectionist

And that's the end of it. Nothing more than that at all. Was I in the wrong, or was she?

  • She overreacted but your phrasing of the message came across as she is perfect at everything. Plus the winky face did not help because it comes across as suggestive behavior. I never use emojis maybe you should look into that.

  • Neither were in the wrong, but maybe she took it as you hinted that you were interested by calling her perfect and she doesn't feel the same

    • Do you think we will ever talk to me again? We are in the same club, and live 4 rooms down in our complex.

    • Just make an effort to talk to her and you will find out. You're just as bad if you don't make conversation as her

  • You tried flirting, she shut it down. Wouldn't say anyone was wrong, that's just life sometimes
