If a guy truly thought or felt he was more in love with you than his ex, wouldn’t he cut all contact with her?

  • No, they are not mutually exclusive. Whether he has a connection with his ex isn't dependent on how he feels about you. As guys we can compartmentalize relationships with different people.

    • But what if he is flirting and attempting at having sex with her

    • Seems like he is a horny guy. No reason to cut contact with his ex if he feels like he can get sex from her and from another girl. But if he agrees to a committed relationship with another girl, then having sex with is ex is cheating and that is wrong. Otherwise he is getting the best of both worlds.

  • There shouldn't be more in love with.. than.. ... that'll only create problems no matter how much that "more" is. It's supposed to be only you or only her.

What Guys Said 1

  • People being friends with ex's is always a dangerous situation. I'd be careful.

What Girls Said 2

  • I would imagine any guy that loved a girl would not be in contact with an ex at all.

  • It depends upon the contact. Are they friends? Is she flirting? Is he the type of guy who likes to keep his options open? The first is fine, the second isn't, and the third is an immediate 'dump him'.

Frankly, either you trust him or you don't. If you can't trust him, then you don't need to be with him. While nobody wants to be taken advantage of, it's not attractive to be the paranoid, clingy girlfriend, either.
