Not repelled in itself but I would not refuse to talk with them. I would just being a close friend with them but addicts can have good subjects of conversation when they are not high or under the influence.As long as I am not asked to date them, I have no problems talking.
As someone who takes care of his body, I'd want to be sure that she wouldn't relapse and didn't have friends who were substance abusers.
No it wouldn't because clearly they are trying to get away from that. They are past that part and they are not trying to pressure you into doing drugs. They had a rough time in their life where they did something bad, but we all have been there or will be there. Don't judge someone because of their past. Now, I am not saying that you have to date them or anything like that, but be there to support them when they are getting past that.
I do neither so no, I'd be more weary of them relapsing.
So would that caution of them relapsing be enough to deter you?
