What about those who are born with both ovaries and a penis and parents have to decide which gender to choose, but the person doesn't agree. This happens more than people think.
@Moonchild714 Oh, you mean the one in ten million? Yea, let's reform society, language, and everything else because of an extreme rarity.
It's 0.13% that are even labeled as "intersex," which just means they have ambiguous genitalia, even less so for those who possess both reproductive systems (or aspects of each). Which is based on a study of only 14,000, which hardly can be assumed to translate to 7 billion, let alone completely refute the earlier research that indicated an unlikelihood of 4-5 times higher than that.
You don't form social norms on the extreme exceptions.
I live in a city of less than a Million and have 25 clients that were born Intersex with both Sex Organs. Statistics aren't always reliable. Every Societal Change started with the Unknown, Rarity, Unlikely!!! So yes this too... But this is from a person with an open mind.
@Moonchild714 Oh yes, we must be either open minded, believing that facts are relative, or to believe that irrefutable, non-fluid truths can exist, and even rooted in biology, and be closed minded, correct?
Sorry to say not outing themselves to certain people can end things permanently. If a guy from my generation went out on a date with a girl who ended up being a guy oods are they would never be seen or heard from ever again. I think most people could give a shit less if this person is a or a girl or inbetween the problem comes when you use that to treat them with zero respect going on a date as a girl when you are a guy is just about chicken shit. And whatever bad shit goes down is on the person lying.
@Stockton they don't end up being a guy. Sex and gender isn't the same thing. Some people were born woman but as they grow they realize that it's not who they want to be. I will respect them and call them how they want to be called. It's not lying, they are a man or woman if they identify as one. Some want to do surgery to change their sexual parts, some don't or haven't been able to yet. You don't seem to have much respect or knowledge about the struggles trans people go through. It's never too late to learn, but I'm not going to argue with you on here
