Visually the Audi R8 looks better, but Porsche is supposed to run better. The Porsche also has better efficiency for travel. Does it not Snow in England? These cars don't seem practical year round or for College Travel. Are roads generally clear in England.

Which one has best crash rating? Because at 17 the best car for you would probably be a cheap used subaru honestly. You are statistically almost guaranteed to wreck it.

Maybe get the Porsche. I have a Porsche myself although not that model, and they are *great* cars. Just be sure to get the extended warranty if you buy one.
