Is "Appearance" OR "Character & Personality" more important?

Personality is vastly more important because looks fade as we get older but personality does not. There are very few old people who actually still look good physically.

Some people will try to say there are older people in Hollywood who look good, but that's just Hollywood. Everyone looks good in Hollywood because they're paid to look good. Hollywood is full of plastic surgery and such to make them look better than the average person. Your average 50 year old person in real life is nowhere near as attractive as the 50 year old people in Hollywood. Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Aniston, and Marisa Tomei are not good representations of what the average 50 year old looks like at all. Hollywood is not a good representation of real life.

Well, as typical as this may sound, both matter, but 'Character and Personality' matter more to me, because if I connect with a person mentally, then I'd definitely try to make it work, regardless of their appearance, but the less attractive they look to me, the harder it will be.

Yes I actually did twice. Neither my first nor second husband would of been what my "type" would be...
Character and personality means way more than just appearance to me, but there still has to be a connection

As far as looks go, we [men] (I can't speak for all men but I probably speak for most of them) have a general range of what we like in a woman, and that range is usually quite broad. So, as long as you fall within that range, you're acceptable. If you are lacking in physical features, you CAN make up for it in personality. (As long as you fall within that acceptable range.)
