What's the best way to ask your best friend out?

Okay, as someone who knows how this works from personal experience, just find excuses to spend time alone, and to go places together. Then, once you two are used to it, have an honest talk with him/her about how you feel. If they don't feel the same way, you two will be on the same page, and can work something out. If they like you back, which they probably do if you've been doing things and having fun together, then they will probably just say yes. It is also possible that they will have to think about it and come back to you on it, but like I said before, the most important part is that you're totally honest with them.

Take baby steps and see how if goes. Start with something simple like going out for coffee or for lunch. If you already do that kind of thing take it up a notch and ask them to go out for dinner or whatever you enjoy doing such as ice skating. You could also ask them if they ever see you as being more than a friend.

I have a best friend I’ve been good friends with that turned into friends with benefits. We’ve been hooking up for almost 2 years on and off. We’ve always been very attractive towards each other but when I expressed my true feelings how I was falling in love for him.
