Have you ever been shocked to find out someone's real age, because they looked much younger or older?

Yeah, from time to time a when it’s “drastic.”

There was this girl ages ago, when I was in my late 20’s. I assumed she was in her mid 20’s... I made the mistake of asking her out once... she showed herself to be a pretty crappy person after that... I went away simply being glad that I dodged a major bullet because she got ugly (showed her true personality) real fast.

Years later, I found out she was in her early 40’s, so she was probably about 37-38 when she was in my life.

She just looked really young, and she talked like a twenty something, and seemed to be in the same phase of life as many mid twenties.

She wasn’t such a pleasant person after all, so I dodged a major bullet.

Yes has happened a bunch of times to me to be honest especially when I meet a girl that I am flirting with , but to be honest age doesn’t really bother me unless she is of illegal age but I have never encountered that to be honest , I think the youngest girl I met was 21 when I thought she was like 26 , 27 but her and I hit it off, she had a great personality and very mature for her age , I was 36 at the time , when she told me she was 21 I was shocked but didn’t stop me from playing Twister with her in bed 😃

Well vice versa, most people think I’m younger then I am, I’m 17 but I look 13/14. On the contrary when I worked at my old job I had to pull my hair back, wear a mask, and a tighter fitted shirt. Because of my eye shape and busty chest I look older like 18-20 but I usually wear baggier clothes and I have my curly hair down so I look way younger and my face is really round so that doesn’t help

There was a guy at work who I thought was a middle schooler and his close or best friend told me the guy was in his twenties. I had difficulty believing that at first but I did some research and I realized the business does not hire employees below a certain age so I guess he really was in his early to mid twenties.

Others are quite often surprised to learn that I am 66 years old because I am active, healthy, and still have all my hair! :) :) :)

People are always shocked about my age, keep saying I look 17 😐. They freak out when I ask why they tried to talk to me if they thought I was a minor.

No not really I just felt relieved to finally know like I use to be connected with this woman who looked young for her age, like Alice was born 1976 but she looked like she was in her 30's and I befriended her before I knew that because she traveled the world a lot

Yes. I had someone recently at my job be shocked that I was 24 lol, she couldn’t believe it. I don’t look my age and I can still pass for a teen 😄 but I don’t mind it, that’s a good thing!

I get this a lot when sharing my age. Kinda awkward for the women younger than me guessing me as younger than them. Especially when they say I am still just a kid, “wait till you are my age...” et cetera... Good times.

A couple of times. One person I've known about 5 years now still hasn't reached the age I'd guessed them at based on not just looks but behaviour as well.

Younger generation today tend to look older than their age while millennials look younger that’s what I observed. Peace out to Gen Z’s no offense but you guys look better than we were during our teens.

I have, I have a friend who when I met her she looked about 12. I thought she was a kid till I was told she was 18 so she showed me her driver's license. She was 18.

Yes, I’m terrible at guessing age. I’ve thought 27-29 year olds were like 19-22 before, and another 29 year old I thought was in her 30s.

Grey / white hair runs in the family so half my hair is grey and since age 20 people assume I’m 35-45
