Guys, what is the best gift you have ever gotten from a girl you were dating/married to?

Just curious. My girlfriend got me an oculus for Christmas. Which is like $300. I was really shocked. And it made me realize that all of the women I have dated before her, barely spent any money on me at all. A dinner here and there, but otherwise I'm the one paying the bill.

The only other gift I can remember was a $100 fitbit from the ex before her, and I think that was the most expensive gift at the time. And I'm 35 and have dated quite a few women. 5 serious relationships. And sure most of these women made less money than me, but they would routinely spend 100 + dollars on shit for themselves, like their nails, or new furniture for their place. But I only got "gifts" for my bday or Christmas, and usually under $100.

Was I just dating selfish women? Or is this a larger theme? Guys what is the best gift you have gotten? And is this happening to you as well? lol

Well I know when I was younger and dating that I almost always spent the most money in the relationship. I would get my boyfriends expensive shoes, clothes, and pay for the bill a lot. Most of the time they just gave me some cheap jewelry and maybe some perfume. I have always had a lot of money most of my life and I understood that not everyone else comes from money so I didn't let it bother me. I also didn't let how much they spent on me determine my happiness in the relationship.

It doesn't determine my happiness in the relationship but it definitely makes me feel appreciated more. When I see them spending a bunch of money on themselves or their friends, as well as me spending a bunch of money on them. And then the 1 or 2 times a year the guy gets something. I get something they bought last minute for less than 100 bucks.

If someone doesn't have the money I understand obviously, but that's not the issue. It's having the money and deciding she would rather spend it on herself than her man. Most women are not like you, they expect men to pay for shit. At least in my experience.
