What is the thin line difference between love and attraction?

I see love as more of a choice and attraction as more of a feeling. I think the English language blurs that more because there are expressions like being "falling in love", as though we can't help it. But I think to love somebody is more like consciously climbing than falling.

Love occurs when you care about the other person to the extent that you place their needs over your own wants. Of course, there are exceptions (ex. parent/child relationships), but if you're all 100% equal, this applies. It's both an emotion you feel and an action exhibited daily. Attraction, on the other hand, simply means you desire them in some way, shape or form. It doesn't need to include love.

The line is hella thick in my world :D.. attraction can be instant and is often superficial. Love is wanting, enjoying, caring for the whole person, with all their quirks and negative traits. Need time to evolve when getting to know each other.

Attraction is where you want the person. Love us where you need the person.

I try to draw the line by imagining this: if the person didn't have any of the features you find appealing/attractive, would you still feel the same way? If not, it's probably just attraction
