If someone of the opposite gender says they'd like to "hang out" but not date?

^What do you interpret that to mean? What does "hanging out" mean coming from someone who already likes you?

  • They want to get to know you, like in a more 'personal' way. I mean for the oppisete gender asked me to 'hang out' I'd be like, sure! Because I'm just that awesome! XP

Anyway, just go with the flow...no flashing out or getting nervous. Just answer the questions (if she/he asks any) honestly. Don't lie.

  • They want to know you better in a more personal way with the unnecessary title, pressure and expectation of a date. I personally prefer hanging out to dating

    • This is pretty much word for word what I think it means in my situation. Thanks.
