Have An Opinion?
No, because how would we have a functioning society if no one worked? Look at all of the things that need to be done, that are not enjoyable, yet someone has to do them. What would happen if no one worked? There is no way for a single person to know everything, so having professionals readily available in different fields is important. If everyone decided they didn't need to work, food would be scarce and much harder to obtain, we wouldn't have clean drinking water, our houses would crumble and our cars would break down (and who is going to manufacture parts, and where are they going to get their materials from?), etc. Also, I actually enjoy working. It makes me feel good about myself. I feel accomplished, productive, and like I have a purpose while I'm working. Yes, it can be hard and there are things about it I don't like too, but it's definitely worth it to get paid and to feel like I contribute to society.
Nobody at works feel like they are part of a unified team. The company will fire anyone from it's highest executive to it's lowest employee if it would help their public image or cut costs. The company will ship jobs overseas, grovel to Chinese governments, with no loyalty to it's home country. They try to get as much of it's employees/customers while giving as little in return.Co-workers compete against each other for advances, rewarding backstabbing and false comradery. Investors will crash the company's stock with a massive selling frenzy if they suspect the company has any goals other than quarterly gains.Sometimes I look at Nazi or Soviet propaganda that shows everyone marching together and working towards a common goal and get envious of them.
I feel sorry for people who think like that. Life = work. If someone hates work so much, then they also hate life. The two are inseparable. To think otherwise is naive to the extreme. There is absolutely nothing degrading about work. Not working is what's degrading.
If nobody worked you'd still have to work anyway. For example how would you feed yourself if farmers didn't work to produce food, truckers didn't work to deliver that food to the shops and supermarkets, and people didn't work in those shops to sell you the food? Then you'd have to work to grow your own food.
Work construction. My body is degrading if anything. How everyone is saying work gives purpose. Yeah I suppose. Another day to look at. I don't want neither. Though, dying is not a option. I just go with the flow. I do what I must for the remaining time I shall live for.
I don't necessarily agree. But I do agree that society effectively making it impossible to live life other than one within institutionalized slavery is a very toxic thing indeed.I don't doubt for a second, that people living in ancient times were overall more happy than modern day people.
Not really, I feel fulfilled when I do my job. My boss degrades people tho, I heard him yelling at a coworker the other day "you're and idiot! why don't you do something for humankind? go kill yourself!!" 🤦🏼♀️ He needs mental help, his last girlfriend (who used to work with us) said his therapist didn't want to counsel him anymore.miro.medium.com/.../1*0u4yUamJzQOmXUDZJpYUyQ.jpeg
Nobody should be forced into work. We are here to enjoy our one single life, not waste it away as a bot for the system's benefit. If somebody wishes to work then by all means let them, but those who choose not to should not be punished because they refuse to support a piece of elitist owned land that they were born into.
If no one works for real the world would stop, and sooner or later we would lack of the basic products and services we need to survive. So it doesn't really matter if she likes to work or not. The only way could see possible ti avoid work for all humans would be to substitute all human work necessary to take care of all humans by robot slaves.
Work can be MADE degrading if you're working for terrible pay and have disrespectful bosses and conditions. But all work is not degrading.
If you feel like your job is degrading you aren't in the right field.Life is work. If you have no work ethic you won't survive
How old is this girl who thinks work is degrading? If no one does any work, who is going to take care of that girl's lazy ass?
I think work brings humility, respect and character but I believe the answer you are looking for is, whatever she is smoking I want some
Welcome to the real world, Katherine Krueger! I wonder if she ever thought about what her parents had to do.
I disagree. So is she trying to say that professions such as teachers, doctors, nurses, police officers, therapists, engineers etc. are also degrading and that no one should be doing it?Nonsense remark made by one who has no common sense.
No work is great if you can do something you love to do. Ultimately the jobs that humans dont really enjoy doing that robots could take over, robots should take over. Even if robots were to take over all the jobs I'd still keep working.
Only some jobs are degrading mostly due to a toxic social environment there
No, get a job you enjoy doing. You shouldn't expect to get something for free, someone has to do work or society falls apart.
well having to get food to survive is degrading but we have to do it or we'll die. katherine can try not doing that and die but i bet it'll suck.
Arbeit macht freiWork is liberating. It gives purpose to our lives.
You don't work you don't eat! It's in the Bible, read it.
I work with children with autism and sever health issues. I find my work both rewarding and fulfilling.
Yes. But existence is also degrading and no one should have to do it.
Probably the person who also expects everything to be given to them
So much of our identity is tied to what we do for work. Being unemployed can be demoralising and soul destroying. Humans need purpose and a vision and they mainly get that from working.
Humans naturally are meant to work. Whatever job it may be. Humans will find it mentally exhausting to not work because it doesn't give them purpouse and probably dont realize it sometimes
Lol, if no one worked nothing would get done but it depends what job you have, no one wants to work but most don’t have a rich family
No I don't agree with her no idea who she is but I wonder if she ended up losing her job after posting that
Well you don't have to work. Good luck being broke by the way.
No one has to do it. There are alternatives
I suppose it can be if you have no work life balance or fair pay or do an undignified job. But most work gives people purpose which is a good thing.
You have a choice earn money or beg on the street.
No work is rewarding..
Yeah sooo degrading
Agree. Our work system is a slavery type deal.
Depends on what kind of work it is.
Who is that woman?
Yes I agree
