I agree with all of this. I am a river engineer by trade but also do design work for flood and drainage schemes. I find women consider the environmental, social and ecological aspects of our work with more equal importance.
I agree and I have many points of reference too. I feel that having a balance of the two gender's in a professional will bring a good balance of the 'feels', productivity and emotion based issues.

Wrong, men are statistically more meticulous
You do realized that the members of oppressed minorities and women fought for equal hiring practices because we don't get hired otherwise? Regardless of qualifications or experience? Where we sit now, with EEO and affirmative action are all inadequate solutions to a problem that still isn't solved.Do you also realize men gatekeeping women out of jobs because of the belief they can't compete or are lesser qualified? I can't tell you how many arguments I've been in about why women don't deserve equal pay or can't perform the same types of jobs as men, even when they're employed as the same position as a man. Talk to your fellow dudes and get back to me. I'll wait
@DorkVader Never witnessed any of this. Women are welcomed in my company. In uni, we had a whole program dedicated to convincing women to join the engineering field. I don’t think they’re really oppressed at all.
Glad to hear it @TonyBologna25. I invite you to do some research because everyone's experience isn't observable personally by you.
@DorkVader I have. Every reputable economist I've read about says the gender wage gap is a sham. It’s been debunked for a while. This rhetoric that women have it just so hard in STEM fields is utter bullshit. If anything, they have a better shot at getting hired due to government demanding a certain quota. The reason why women aren’t in engineering and STEM fields is because Harvard studies confirm that women are not nearly as logically driven as men. They are more emotionally driven, and that’s okay. Women aren’t becoming engineers because they’re not interested in STEM. Physics and Mathematics are very logically driven subjects. Look at every famous physicist and mathematician in history ever... they’re 99% all men. Coincidence or logic? I believe in a capitalistic society. Capitalism doesn’t care about if you’re male or female. Capitalism only cares about what thing, and that’s money. Your value in a capitalistic society is based on the value that you can bring towards a company. Are you a valuable asset or not? If a woman wants the same pay as a man, then she needs to output the same value as the man she’s competing against. It’s as simple as that. This whole victimhood that women face in society today is just bullshit. My grandmother got her aerospace engineering degree back in the 70s, worked for Boeing, and managed a lot of men. She would agree with everything I’m saying. You have to compete to reach the level of prestige she did. No handouts because of gender. No bitching. No moaning. Just hard work and climbing the ladder. You have to compete the same way a man would. Have to be willing to take the same amount of shit a man would. If the man is better, he gets promoted. If the woman is better, she gets promoted. Who’s the catch here? Gender is irrelevant.
Of course there are outliers in regards to what I’m saying with emotionally driven minds and logically driven minds. Just as any population sample... My grandmother was an outlier.
I'm sure that the history of women in math and science fields is quite murky, as you well know and can imagine. I'm dying to find the Harvard study that says women aren't logical because emotions 🙄. Studies show that girls aren't encouraged in math or science at an early age, when they are just as capable as boys of learning what's necessary to succeed in STEM fields, and this is where the initial disparity begins. However, I have several family members who are women and minorities and scientists. I'm proud of your Grandma and her accomplishments, but if you think her path was as simple as it would be for a man, you're kidding yourself. She probably went through hell to be a badass. As for capitalism, I don't buy that bullshit. If salary were based on merit, everyone's starting pay would be the same, and they aren't. This is why companies discourage employees discussing how much they make.Ask one of your female STEM colleagues. I guarantee she'll be able to tell you what I've said, beings that I'm bad at math and not logical and stuff.
@DorkVader Sure. Let me find that study for you before I even reply
Don't bother. I'm not interested. Conversations go around and around and me being illogical and emotional won't ever convince you, and neither will you convince me. Have fun @TonyBologna25. But have it by yourself. Good night.
Gender Roles Are Natural... ↗Here's my old mytake. All the information that supports what I'm saying is there and it's broken down on a logical basis.
@DorkVader "Ask one of your female STEM colleagues. I guarantee she'll be able to tell you what I've said, beings that I'm bad at math and not logical and stuff."I have plenty, and they literally all agree with me. This is a popular topic at the moment. Women are based more emotionally driven due to endocrine system as well. There's a lot of reasons. You can't just deny factual biology because you don't agree with it. Capitalism works great by the way.
@DorkVader Why not read some facts about your biology before dismissing it entirely? It's basic factual biology. But sure... check mate.
@DorkVader My sentiments basically echo Tony’s points. I’ve never seen any of this. I’ve worked in engineering for years now as well. Plenty of women in lead positions overseeing their teams and earning deserved pay. The Equal Pay Act was passed in 1963 and it is required by law to pay women as much as men based on time and equal merit. Now, I’m not saying there aren’t some bad apples out there that may do women wrong in the workforce. These are likely smaller businesses or struggling smaller companies. It could be anything, and it could be misunderstandings. Some people get raises and others don’t. There isn’t a clear cut view on every possible scenario that could play out.I’m sure women are victim to bad apples out there, again, but that is illegal, and shouldn’t be happening anyway. Trust me, we’re not here to oppose you at all, we agree that women should be paid equally, all we are saying is that most of us are beyond that point and maybe in a few instances, there are some bad people, but we can’t let bad apples ruin our whole world view. We have to keep moving forward.
Now the biology stuff I’m not going to comment on. I think there are plenty of women out there that can make strong, sane, informed decisions in leadership roles. But it lies on them to really be in check of themselves and knowledgeable about business and economics. That goes for any man as well. We have differences as men and women, but we can both be intellectually capable of great things.
Nope, I'm totally reformed. Women make as much as men, especially the rare women who are logical enough to exist in a STEM main. Good for us. Go equality. Hooray for biology. 👩🏿🔬
*mein damned autocorrect
“ . I think there are plenty of women out there that can make strong, sane, informed decisions in leadership roles. But it lies on them to really be in check of themselves and knowledgeable about business and economics. That goes for any man as well. I just believe the masses of STEM are filled by men because it doesn’t interest women nearly as much and that stems from our biological roots.
They are rare but they do exist good sir!
Being more likely to get hired despite the man being far more qualified and fit for the job, they get away with being sexist and racist towards us and slander us when we say stuff back, they take half of our stuff in a divorce, they receive 50% shorter sentences and are less likely to be convicted for committing the same crime as a man, we're expected to pay for everything allowing them to take advantage of our kindness, they always get and achieve victim status no matter how clear it was that they were the perpetrator, they get to pick and choose who to date while we have to compete against everyone, we're 80% more likely to have a violent crime committed against us, we make up over 90% of work related fatalities, they can easily win cases against men despite a complete absence of any evidence against him, shall I continue?
If you like, but I suprisingly agree with far more than I thought I would. This is true, and it is extremely hypocritical when some women enjoy these benefits, stand on podiums and preach about feminism and equality, whereby some extreme feminists paint men as the enemy.
And what benefit is that? Dunno much about lawyers 🤷🏽♂️
All the benefits you cite above. And we’re good in court.
True, the influx of women does make a profession more "caring" and about the people rather than projects, talking from experience & engineering.
Also, it's pretty nice, working in an engineer office, looking around and seeing beautiful girls, rather than all lads 😋 makes me feel happier, making it a nicer place to work... productivity increases too 👍🏼
Single female lawyer, fighting for her clients. Wearing sexy mini skirt, and being self reliant!
@Kaazsz I FUCKING LOVE YOU!
@DoekVader I always loved that little jingle. Futurama is the best show ever.
I'm a big Bender fan, and I was trying to remember this all day. One of my favorite quotes is "Kill all humans. Kill all humans. Hey sexy mama, wanna kill all humans?"
🤣🤣🤣 I fucking love Bender! 🤖🤖🤖
That one time he sells his body and is just a head and a stack of money, lol He goes "Bodies are for hookers and fat people". I think about that a lot
Says the silly pink anon
And incel liking him
