My friend is an Assistant U. S. Attorney. She's been offered a job as the chief domestic violence prosecutor in a small rural county in the western part of the state where she lives. The job would pay a little more than she makes now and she would have a higher position (third in command behind the county prosecutor), but she'd be giving up her best chance to someday become U. S. Attorney or even a federal judge, plus she'd have to move to basically the middle of nowhere (right now she lives on the shore about five minutes from me). She's always been passionate about fighting rape and domestic violence, but she's also really good at her current job (prosecuting white collar crimes). What should I advise her to do?
