I didn't go to school for it specifically but I am currently working as a data analyst for the QA department of my company so if you have any questions I could try to answer them for you. Keep in mind tho that I only have experience at this one company so my experience may not be reflective of the field as a whole.

Hmm so? Is math really that hard? I mean unless it's physics I find math to be relatively straightforward if you're willing to put in the time
Not sure whether you mean data analysis or data science. Data science these days means a lot of machine learning, and that means a lot of linear algebra and partial derivatives. If you find that straightforward then great, you can have a great career.

No idea what data analysis means these days, but tech companies are desperate for data scientists who can apply machine learning.
