I grew up believing that , as someone with average intelligence, I can also be just as successful as the smart folks , If I just worked harder. But now that I have exited college and entered the workforce, this has been noticeably far from the case. From my experience, folks in upper management or leaders of organizations all have ridiculously high IQs. Most of the professionals who make 6 figures a year , tend to predominantly be individuals with high levels of intellect. Smart folks noticeably get further ahead into their careers way earlier than their average counterparts. It’s all the smart folks who get into medical school or law school where higher paying professions are. Is IQ really the most necessary ingredient to success in life?
