Exactly ^ and if you go into any kind of research then it's even more demanding that way. I think she'd like research
@Yads_Is_Back I’m honestly thinking about going into molecular biology research at this point. I’m currently pre-med but this whole pandemic thing and how the medical staff are being treated has got me seriously reconsidering that path.
Honestly there are some molecular biologists who make more than doctors, especially if you get a high degree and teach a class or two at a university on the side. Plus, medical school will take a while with all of the shadowing and clinicals, plus internship and residency. Molecular bio could be VERY beneficial! And just think... we give the advice and the cures, but really a lot of times you're the one discovering them
@Yads_Is_Back Right? I just read a research paper (2018 I think) on a new treatment for Huntington’s disease using a synthetic RNA to interfere with the mRNA that would get translated into the miss folded protein responsible for the disease. And the whole time I couldn’t help but thing “holy shit that is so cool.” And apparently they are just now starting the next step of the clinical trials.
