Hi thanks. Yes, NTU is one of the universities where I will likely go to study.:-)Have you studied there yourself?
Nah. I have taken oath that I won't leave my parents because they want my support in their old age but I have few friends who went Singapore and Canada for further studies.
I see. So do you still have contact with your friends? maybe you could ask them one or two things for me?
If you send me a follow request, maybe we could also talk privately. I can't do that unfortunately, as I'm only level 1 for now
I apologise but neither I follow anyone nor I allow anyone to follow me due to privacy issues. Yup I still have contact with them on FB.
Alright, no problem.Actually I read about this strange thing here on g@g and I would like to know if this is true. So I found someone here who claims that they do some strange photo shoots at university, where girls have to have bare feet. Maybe you can ask your friends about that? It seems really strange to me...
Sure. I will ask them on messenger. I will be back to you within 1-2 days.
Thanks for the warning, but what do you mean? Can you be more specific about those cases of immoral treatment towards girls?
it put me off going. girls being filmed in the showers and changing by guys, the university has been accused of covering it up, you can still find bits in the internet.
www.channelnewsasia.com/.../nus-student-charged-film-women-in-toilet-utown-hostel-12807028 one example
rumour is that rich parents have been covering up a lot.
Ok, that sounds bad :(Now I just found someone on gag who claims that they also do some strange photo shoots at university, where girls have to have bare feet. Do you know anything about that? To me, this seems too strange to be true...
no i have only heard on guys filming and spying on girls. Having mixed dorms won't help but i know in Asian unis everything is hushed up and if the parents are wealthy then they pressure everyone to keep quiet. At the end of the day if you practice personal safety then you should be ok. Many Asian guys live sheltered lives (tiger mums) and uni is the first taste of freedom. Dont let it put you off, many have great times their but where ever you decide to apply for make sure you know the good and the bad to prepare yourself.
Yeah, but I'm also interested in people sharing their personal experience. And I have no idea if there are any online forums where I could talk to people about that. So I decided to ask here.

yeah, good question. I'm referring to the quality of lectures, infrastructure, service to students and so on. Of couse there is no 100% objective measurement.Have you studied in Singapore?
Do you not think a good way to measure a school is how many of its graduates actually find jobs within... say 3 months? How many actually retain them? Do they earn higher salaries than any other school?
Have you studied there yourself?
