I'm refraining from commenting on most posts but I just want to clarify, I dont get 2 or 3 months of the year off
SO how much do you get?University professors get even more off, since they only hold classes 2 to 3 times a week. They can't demand more pay for less work.
About a month
That's still more than most Americans. Two of my history teachers actually had the nerve to ask for extra pay for office hours and grading papers. But what irritates me the most, is when they choose to go on strike, then punish students by cutting classes into their summer vacation. Why should WE be punished when we aren't the one's who told you to strike?
You understand that we have no control over scheduling and that's something you should take up with your local education department
I don't care what the reason is. Why don't you take it up? That's what your union is for? Would you prefer to work 12 months a year and get paid weekly?Oh, I forgot I also support Arnold's policy of paying teachers based on student performance
I've given you the reason as to why, a lot of it's out of our hands I'm sorry to burst your bubble. And personally I don't but you're free to think what you like

Why our union?
Some teachers need there ass fired and we don't need someone stopping it
I can agree but there's a reason why we need a union
Not sure it does
