For those that hate their jobs, how do you stay positive in other aspects of your life?
New job has just turned me into a miserable grouch, work 12-16 hour days with no clue when/where/if you’re until the night before (at best) and are expected to be 24/7 on call. Boss is constantly setting you up for an excuse to get rid of you, and makes it impossible to plan any sort of life outside work
I mean I’ve worked jobs I hated before, but at least you could just do your 8 or 10 hours, go home and not need to think about it until tomorrow. How the fuck do people deal with this?
Well I mean if work follows you home that is unacceptable. To tolerate I drink a lot and watch a lot of Hulu Netflix. Otherwise I find a breaking point and just leave. Maybe if you really need money you can give yourself a deadline on how much money you need before you can quit.
Take a moment to yourself and think about something positive about your job or even think how lucky you are to have this certain job/a job at all as there are worse ways to make money and there are many people who are homeless and broke.

I work a job like this before. I put up with it as long as I could because like you I needed a paycheck. In the end I took a lower paying job as soon as something came along.
