Do one need coding knowledge for a digital marketing job?

Programming skills or coding background is not required to begin their careers as digital marketers in the Digital Marketing field.

Digital Marketing Professionals don't need the skill sets of coding, as many marketing experts don't see the domain a very significant or exclusive.

Undoubtedly, digital marketing professionals with programming are great assets to their company, but still, it is not a must-have skill for marketers. In spite of the benefits, there are rare marketing experts who have extended themselves to coding for the web.

You would benefit more from web design and knowledge of Javascript and such. You will need IT knowledge in most of these positions because your also get to do the work. Ie make the banners, change in the cms. It's rarely a manager position only, because that wouldn't make you useful enough to be worth hiring and paying salary. A scripter will soon also make you unemployed...

I doubt they would need much. Probably need to use desktop publishers and some statistical related applicationa like tableau
