No, you don't pay grants back. That being said, even if it's full, I guarantee you before drop/add ends, someone will drop the class and you can swoop up and take it. You just gotta check it several times a day and everyday until drop/add ends. Also, make sure the class relates to what you want to major in, in college. You don't want to have to take a similar one over because it's not on track with your program when you finally do go over. Enjoy Dual Enrollment!

A grant is not a loan and does not need to be paid back. But it might be conditional. I don't know what happens if you don't take the class. You might have to pay it back. Or it might roll over until the next semester. I had a Pell Grant in college, but don't remember the conditions.
