Guys, I promise the real number 2 resource is on the list, and I promise the Discovery Channel program evaluated Fresh Water as being the real number 1 in terms of how many dollars are spent on Fresh Water every year world wide.

The real number 2 is again how many dollars are spent on that substance every year world wide, and the real number 2 is more than all other resources combined. Just as Fresh Water is more than all lesser resources combined.

Oxygen is Free, because it's a well mixed gas and perfectly distributed around the planet.

It costs money to distribute fresh water, and for that reason it's also more valuable than oxygen.. Also, your body actually gets about half the oxygen you need from biochemistry involving various chemical forms of water and hydroxil ions anyway, and you could get oxygen from electrolysis of sea water or fresh water if you absolutely needed to do so, so you are wrong.

And for example, you could argue "Food" is more valuable than the real number 2, but that's also wrong. All agriculture combined, including Cotton and Tobacco, only makes up 1% of the U. S. economy, and only makes up 10% of the Chinese economy (they are a bit behind in industrialization, but not behind in peak technology).

Fresh Water is more valuable in dollars than ALL other natural resources combined, and the real number 2 is more valuable in dollars than ALL other natural resources combined, except Fresh Water... in dollars extracted per year and in total dollars of all of this substance available.

Impressive, but incorrect. But that's a "decoy" I could have put on this poll. Helium is becoming more and mor erare, but in the future when we get sustainable Tritium fusion, we'll have virtually unlimited 4He, and we can mine 3He from the Moon, which is also useful in Fusion or would be useful in Airships on the Earth and industry.

Helium could have been a good decoy answer though, but It's good someone thought of Helium, because it's very rare now.

Solar powered Dirigibles are actually the most cost-effective means of transporting both Humans and Cargo, it just isn't done typically because humans are usually wiling to pay MORE to get something one day faster, so air travel is done using airplanes, and similarly air cargo is done using airplanes, but in the future when Fossil Fuels run out, we'll use Helium from the Moon or from Tritium-Deuterium Fusion Reactors to produce Dirigibles, which will be solar powered and use a combination of Wind force and solar electric engines to travel at sub-sonic speeds. Because Helium will be unlimited then, there will be no reason not to do it.

Right now, there isn't enough Helium on Earth's Crust to meet this travel demand, but when we start mining Helium 3 from the Moon, and producing Helium 4 in fusion reactors, there will be more than enough Helium to make enough Dirigibles to meet the entire world's travel demands.
