Why are some people so heated about twitch streaming not being a job?

I think it can be a job. If you're treating it like a business - which the most successful people do - it's a job. You're managing a lot, working job-like hours, etc. You just happen to get to work from home, dress in sweats, and have no coworkers you don't hire yourself.
If it's just a hobby, it's not a business - and therefore, not a job. It can be a side-gig, though. Bringing in a little cash here and there.
I do not know enough to know what your talents are but I believe you can find something to do - if you just want to earn money and don’t care how it’s done, knitting scarves might be a way to do it. I know there are other jobs you could do like janitor or kitchen help but I don’t want you to catch CoVid so I think you could work as a scarf knitter. Maybe an abstract or religious painter too.
The doctor thing is a bad example.
I would compare it with TV show hosts, both do entertein their audience. Only difference is the twitch streamer gets money directly for their audience, so you as the viewer got a more direct way supporting what you like.
Because some people are stuck in the past and believe its not a job.

What's Your Opinion? Sign Up Now!Well it can be a job like I've said before some streamers actually do stream a full 8 hours a day.
But for most it's definitely a hobby.
It's a lot like people that fix cars. They're probably doing it as a hobby, but you can definitely turn it into a job.
I'm not heated about it.
But -with your logic- a beggar also has a job?
No idea, if you can live from that income, and do it, it's a job to me
do what makes you happy fuck other peoples opinions
I'm personally not sure myself 🤔
