I think that most people who say they love their job mean they would rather do it than some other full time job. They don't mean they would prefer doing it to living off a large inheritance on a tropical island.
How did you make it
I worked hard and was very professional every day, but I only took it one day at a time. There were people I worked with who were also going to retire, but they counted down the days (even if they had a year to go). They slacked off on their jobs, because they were ‘going to retire’, and sat around a lot, driving themselves nuts thinking about retirement (and driving us nuts in the process). I didn’t even think about retirement, until the last couple of days. Until that time, I only thought about getting through the day, and maybe thinking a little about the next day.
Talking about work, with your views about pedophiles you shouldn't be in education
I would obey the law, most of the students I work with are adults, but if a female colleague did it with one of the teenagers I would turn her in regardless of my personal beliefs.
Of course you would, otherwise you would be in deep shit
What job do you have
Assembly line. It's an incredibly mind-numbing job but I am content in the fact that I am doing something and making myself useful.
Omg I did that.
I work with brake calipers for semis. They're just chunks of metal as large and as thick as a textbook but much heavier. They usually weigh 30-45 pounds so I'm at least getting a workout carrying them around.
I made face masks
I see. That sounds a lot less fulfilling.
What is it
What do you do
I'm an apprentice meat cutter at a local market.
I would love to work on a farm if I had the opportunity. I'm starting to dislike the city and the jobs that are there.
@I_Am_Sazerac I left the city decade and plus ago. I cashed in my 401k and bought a farm and had no clue wtf i was doing. I learned as I went.
