What is your opinion of S. M. A. R. T. Goals?

For those who don’t know the term, a smart goal is a goal that is

S = Specific
M = Measurable
A = Achievable
R = Relevant
T = Time Sensitive

I do not like it because I feel that a superficial deadline gives you the stress of rushing the due process of things to meet an abstract target instead of pursuing your projects at a steady and comfortable pace and I also believe measurable goals are created to appeal to the vanity of procrastinators who want bragging rights or accountability partners to keep themselves motivated. My goal setting formula is this

M. U. L. C. H.

M = Motivating
U = Useful
L = Loving
C = Consistent
H = Honest
