  • I'll mention some light classics that you may not have seen though they're in color for your enjoyment ;) .

"Penelope" (1966) A light and whimsical film starring Natalie Wood. No real stress, just light fun.
"Sex and the Single Girl" (1964) Natalie Wood and Tony Curtis. The chase scene near the end is great.
"Cat Ballou" (1965) Jane Fonda at her most beautiful.
"Sunday in New York" (1963) Jane Fonda and Rod Taylor. New York City never looked so clean!
"The Glass Bottom Boat" (1966) Doris Day and Rod Taylor. Doris Day swimming bottomless? What a scandal!

For something a little more dramatic:
"Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961) The incredible Audrey Hepburn along with George Peppard.
"Susan Slept Here" (1954) The recently departed Debbie Reynolds playing a 17 year old. I believe she was 21.
"The French Connection" (1971) Suspense and action with Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider. If you're in the mood for a gritty, early '70's, New York film. Based on a true story.
