That makes no sense with the numbers. if that's the case I could have put anything as the answer and justified it
@Lolita911 i suppose you could've
in this case u could as the information given the only logical answer is 6. but if it's R that makes no sense as the information you have doesn't at all show how that's a possible answer. no one could have gotten that with the knowledge they got given
@Lolita911 that's why it's more like a puzzle. If there are no hints, the only thing you can rely on is your vast knowledge of "facts" in general. That and your ability to solve puzzles.
That is why it's a riddle. It's an H shift riddles are supposed to make you think outside the box
Sounds fair. Comes off more like a brain teaser to me, but fair.A riddle sounds more like this, "What 11 letter word do people pronounce incorrectly?"
That's pretty much a brain teaser anyway. It makes you think of what the answer could possibly be but it says the answer.
If the solution is like you said R, then it's the worst riddle not only because it has no unique answers. Many cars actually have 6 gears and bit only 5, also the reverse gear is often on the left and not on the position of the 6
The reverse is usually only on the left in a 6 gear carencrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/imageswww.google.co.nz/search
@Hai_tis_E you're absolutely right, it does make you think. Riddles, brain teasers, puzzles, they all accomplish the same thing. in my opinion, it's the small key differences that segregate them. That's why I don't call that a riddle, since it doesn't contain a unique literary device to really be called a riddle, although it does make you think.
@Yumix Yeah people in the UK wouldn't get it lol
@Hai_Tis_E my point was that it's crap because even the supposed solution isn't clear. it doesn't matter if one is more common than the other, you have multiple solutions on something where it's not supposed to be the case and the solution also is pretty much impossible to guess depending on where you live, what you drive etc.
@Yumix Yeah it's too broad. Most likely, the people who solve already know the answer.
They all have answers. You just have to think outside of the box. Get the gears turning in your brain.
is that an H shift?
I'm glad you got my hints
It's a riddle, the answer is never as it seems

Nope it's not
Oh crap I just saw the pattern. You are referring to a manual car gear system of some cars. The answer is R not six (though some cars have 6 gears).
But they'd still have the R which would be like before the gears
Is it even a number? I saw you liked the comment "R". If that's the correct answer, why?
It's an H shift gear stick
aah lol ofc. I even had one of those.
what's the answer?
R for Reverse
No 100% not 6
The answer is not 6
Think outside the box. It's a riddle the answer is never the obvious.
a number goes in place of the question mark?
Maybe maybe not
