For me the saddest song I ever heard is Tears in Heaven from Eric Clapton
The songs about Eric Clapton's 4-year-old son Conor whom died after falling from the 53rd-floor window of his mother's friend's New York City apartment. He landed on the roof of an adjacent four-story building

The sound of silence - disturbed's version
Its so beautiful and it can hit you quite hard. Though it's not the MOST saddest song I've ever heard because I know there's one out there much more sorrowful. I have yet to find it (I love sad deep songs ugh)

Tears in Heaven is up there, These Are The Days of Our Lives (Queen) too. For me the saddest has to be One More Light by Linkin Park.
