You can have more than one preference.

  • Non-humans if I have to kill them, such as cyborgs or monsters.
I notice I enjoy more when I dont have to kill people in games such as metal gear solid, resident evil and binary domain

    • Wait...
This question is about violence against women in video games?
You gotta be shitting me. What a troll

    • I'm writing a research paper for school. How am I a troll for this? My focus is on representation of Women in media. Are women and video games not a thing to you?

    • Your won't even be taken seriously, what a joke.
You do know that violence against anyone is wrong, right?
Tell me you understand that. Say it.
there's a ton of violence in entertainment, I agree. But on people, people.
Women are people, just like men, seniors, kids, etc.
So when you turn this into a gender thing, you become a joke and worthless in every way.
Violence against people is wrong, “all” people, not just women.

What Guys Said 13

  • I used to love those 1980's brawlers where you fought your way through punk street gangs to save a girl or something at the end. They would usually be mostly male but there was also the odd feeling female enemies.
The games were usually pretty sexist. Here's a screenshot from an old favorite of mine

  • i dont care what gender or like alien/monster/human they are.
what i want is for the game to be fun

you can do this by it being a goofy game with over the top bad guys.
but i tend to prefer the... less of them being bad guys more of each grouo being on the other side of the fight.

  • Don't care... Like shit I've played violent game since I was like 7 or 8 and I don't generally care who I'm hurting in a game. If the goal is to kill someone I do it or I get killed... So...

  • I don't really see how gender would have relevance when they all have heads and only stay alive for about 2 seconds

  • None of that has relevance, we play for the graphics, storyline, and immersiveness. It has to be able to distract us from the stress of life

What Girls Said 3

  • Neither. The enemies in the games I play are usually the old-school definition of monsters/beasts with the occasional human (oid) enemy which I've seen both male & female versions of.
