Is scots language like a foreign language to you?

Here are a few examples of scots language:

Mockit - dirty/unwashed

Scunnered - bored

'She's got a face like a melted welly' - sour faced individual

'He's got a face like a burst couch' - grumpy looking

Crabbit - irritable

'My gran could talk the hin legs off a dug' - gran likes to talk and talk and talk some more

'I ken' - I know

Aye - yes

Naw - no

Disnae - doesn't

'It's chucking it doon' - it's raining very heavily

'Hoatching' - repulsive/smelly

'She's a wee stoater' - an attractive woman

'Smashed' - drunk

Hammered/blootered/paralytic/wasted/wrecked/steaming - drunk

'Wid' - would

'Auld foggie' - old person

'Roaster/warmer' - somebody who often makes a fool of themselves

'Dafty/ditter' - a ditsy person

'Wean' - child

'Minging/minger ' - revolting/repulsive person

'Daen' - doing

'Mither/faither' - mum/dad

'Stupit/dighted' - stupid

'Cor' - car

'Bonnie/braw' - attractive
